Stick People

Stick People is an ongoing fifteen year musical collaboration between lifelong friends and Wooster, Ohio natives Mike Balas, Steve Calabria and Stephe Rousseau. Each member has lived in different parts of the country and continues to be involved in various musical projects. Indeed, even a partial listing of artists with whom the band and its individuals have recorded, toured, supported, or performed on stage with is as varied as it is impressive: Bo Diddley, Levon Helm, Leon Russell, War, Ronnie Wood, Jack Bruce, George Straight, Merle Haggard, Toots and the Maytals, Robert Lockwood,  John Mayall, James Cotton, Phil Guy, and  Fabulous Thunderbirds. But it is Stick People that holds the indefinable combination of friendship, music, and inspiration for each. 

Producer Ballard asked Stick People, one of his favorite bands, to play the main track for "We Have Been Through So Much Together," the title cut of the CD. The band came up with a grooved version of the song that ended up being a perfect foundation over which to have a "choir" of voices on the choruses. Wait 'til you hear it! 

Stick People may be seen and heard in and around N.E. Ohio's finer and hipper establishments.
