Alex Bevan
Alex
Bevan is well known to anyone in Northeast Ohio who doesn't live in
a cave. Beginning with his first LP, 1971's "No Truth to Sell" and
continuing through nine more releases on his own Fiddlers Wynde
label, Bevan has turned out a body of work that became the
"soundtrack" of the Northeast Ohio music scene. His songs from
"Skinny" to "Rodeo Rider," "Grand River Lullabye" to "South Shore
Serenade" have evoked a place and time recognizable to anyone who
was and is there. Bevan has called upon his prodigious skills in
the studio to produce releases for Pat Dailey, Charlie Wiener and
Deadly Earnest. An Emmy winner, Alex's latest release is
"Sweetwater Pete." Bevan continues to tour and perform all over the
country.
Alex: My memories of John’s home on Hessler are many and
wonderful. The beat here is my feet walking and everything just
flows from there. Thanks to Tom Daly for the recording of John
“Singing in the Rain” at the Meadowridge Folk Festival back in the
day.
