Aaron Ballard
Aaron Ballard grew
up hearing all about John Bassette and the whole N.E.O. music scene
of that time. The Akron songwriter chose a more obscure song from
John's body of work that was still in more or less demo form, "Can't
Beat The Reaper," recorded at Skylyne Studio, co-produced by Jim
Ballard.
Aaron started out
playing and singing bit parts on a collection of different
songwriter/artists' projects in the studio while still in high
school, progressing to becoming singer and co-producer with
then-partner, Matt Berdyck in Condenser. They made and released
their first collection of songs titled "Halo for a Vice." Aaron
spent time as frontman/lead singer for Drowning Poet before moving
on to his present band, Negativity Killed The Cat --www.myspace.com/negativitykilledthecat.
An alt/indie outfit based in Akron. He is currently in the studio
working on his first solo effort.
